TRY EBAY. Search Diecast Toys. I get a lot from my NASCAR DIECAST there and cheap.
Just to help the people in the audience, retractable-old model is a concept whereby one or more pieces of the model (often the folder tree) contains, and change the construction process or combining parts of a single model.
My answer is maybe what you want, but I found a support vehicle the FDNY made utilmaster cast. This is a finished work, you can not have all the fun you want. But if you contact the seller may be able to give your suppliers. Good luck.
I also have a place that sells miniature rudytoys.com called (with plastic) support vehicles at a very reasonable price of 4 for $ 20. They announce that the research will find materials specific to Diecast toys.
